Alex Wender is the agency owner of Bluewave Insurance Services. He started the company in 2015 with just himself and has grown the company and built an outstanding team. Everyday, he works with people all over the United States, helping them understand their Medicare and long term care options, and ensuring they are receiving the best service, pricing, and resources. Alex is a licensed insurance agent in over 40 states.

Alex built Bluewave Insurance from the ground up and takes great pride in ensuring each client has the best plan and coverage at the best possible price. He designed the “Rate Lookout” program, which helps our clients review their Medicare Supplement plan each year.

Alex grew up on the East Coast and moved to San Diego after college. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, traveling, spending time with family, and of course his two Golden Retrievers.

Christian has been a licensed insurance agent for 18 years, and he has been working with folks over the age of 65 since 2018 when he joined the Bluewave Insurance team. He holds insurance licenses in over 40 states.

Christian is a trustworthy and caring guy. In his spare time, he enjoys spending his time with family, hiking, whale watching, and bird watching. He also enjoys brewing beer!

When we asked Christian what his favorite part about his job is, he told us that he “loves speaking with interesting people from across the country and helping them pick the best plan for their needs.”

Abbie Bartlett is a licensed agent and our customer expertise manager. She joined the Bluewave team in 2020, and she enjoys meeting clients from all walks of life and making sure they’re completely satisfied with their coverage. Abbie is licensed in over 40 states across the country.

In her free time she likes spending time with family, including her dog Winnie and two cats, Lionel and Fuzzy! She also enjoys trying out new food recipes and finding new, adventurous places to go on the weekend. Working at Bluewave is like a second home to Abbie — between the clients and her coworkers, they’ve become like family to her.

Erica Sarver is a licensed agent at Bluewave Insurance. She holds licenses in over 40 states. She moved from York, Pennsylvania to attend San Diego State University, where she led the swim team as the team captain. She joined the Bluewave Team shortly after graduating in 2021.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her 2 cats Roscoe and Benny. Her favorite part about working at Bluewave is helping people simplify the process of finding the best Medicare plan to fit their needs. She values the relationships she’s made with her coworkers and her clients. They make every day a great day at Bluewave!

Matt Nicholson is a licensed agent at Bluewave Insurance Services. He holds a license in over 35 states. Born and raised in San Diego, CA, he attended San Diego State University, majored in Business Management, and volunteered as a Recruiting Assistant with the school’s football team. After graduating in the spring of 2024, he joined the team at Bluewave in the summer.

When he’s not educating people about Medicare and finding what plan suits them best, he’s spending time with family and friends, exercising, or DJing. His passion for familiarizing people with Medicare is palpable, and he believes that informed decisions lead to the best outcomes. “Good vibes attract good lives” is a quote he likes to live by, and connecting with our team and you, the customer, helps him fulfill that.

Josie Entac is our office manager and ensures that operations run smoothly on a day-to-day basis. She has been with Bluewave since 2020.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her four children, family walks, biking and camping. Her favorite part about working at Bluewave is the way the company supports her professionally and personally. “On a professional level, I am given opportunities everyday to grow in my role and be exposed to new areas of the business. My team is great, kind, helpful and not competitive with one another.”
