As a sales assistant with Bluewave Insurance, you will be part of a rapidly growing, national, independent insurance agency, specializing in the senior market. You do not need a background in health insurance. We’re happy to train the right candidate who shows a track record of success and excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding industry. You will work alongside the agency owner and will be part of a growing team.
After initial training, you will be required to pass the CA state health insurance exam and become licensed. We will pay for all training and license costs.
Daily tasks will include:
Use a CRM to track new leads and clients.
Follow up with existing clients to offer a rate comparison
Run RX plan comparisons
Run insurance quote comparisons
Handle inbound customer service requests via email and phone from new and existing clients.
Finalize electronic applications with prospective clients
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or AA in business or equivalent directly related experience required.
Ability to pass the health insurance exam and obtain the license
Trainable and coachable.
Polished – great phone voice and etiquette.
Great email etiquette
Excellent customer service
Must have a clean financial and criminal background.
Able to work independently with little supervision.
Has a strong history of success
Organized and able to multitask
Very comfortable with MS Excel, MS Word, Gmail, Google Apps.
Pay based on experience – competitive base + commissions and bonuses.

All candidates must be able to obtain a health and life insurance license. A clean background and credit history is required.
