AARP / UHC Plan G Available July 1st, 2017
The popular AARP Medicare Supplement Plan G will be available in many states across the country July 1st, 2017. This is big news because this is AARP’s first time offering a Plan G. Up until recently, folks could only buy a Plan F or N from AARP. Now everyone who has a Plan F will AARP will be able to change to Plan G, without having to answer health questions if they purchased the plan after June of 2010. If you are new to Medicare, you don’t have to answer any health questions, you are guaranteed acceptance into a Plan G.
What Is Plan G?
Plan G is identical to Plan F, the only difference is the Part B deductible of $183 that is not covered. Besides, that, the plans the same. The advantage of G is that the premium is much less and the rate increases tend to be a lot less. See our full write up on Plan G here.
